Ocean & Outback Film Festival

Film Festival

Held in the picturesque Gulf of Carpentaria in Karumba, QLD, the Ocean & Outback Film Festival was a free two-day annual event.

The Festival kicked off on Saturday the 14th of September with an outdoor short film festival held in Karumba, up to 12 short films were screened and awarded monetary prizes by a panel of celebrity judges. Live music, food and films! Bring a picnic rug, your friends and family and sit back to enjoy a night under the stars!

OOFF advises films are unclassified and some are suited to 15 plus years.

On Sunday the 15th of September, vistors and locals came along to the filmmaking workshop and learnt how to make your own short film, hear from the experts, and get inspired.

The entire festival is free. Keep an eye on the website for the 2025 event!
